TxABA committees are staffed by volunteer behavior analysts and serve vital roles in advancing TxABA's mission and strategic plan. The TxABA Executive Council establishes committees and appoints individuals to run standing committees of the organization. Below is a list of the current committees and their abbreviations. Purpose
To establish awards provided by TxABA and recommend nominees for said awards

Pioneers Behavior Analyst in Texas
Awarded to persons who were actively involved in behavior analysis in Texas, contributing to the development of behavior analysis in the state, active in Texas in the 1960s and 1970s when the profession was just developing. This award is not necessarily given annually. Recipients need not reside in Texas at the time the award is given. They should be in good standing in the profession when the award is presented (or, if the award be presented posthumously, were at the time of death).

The efforts can involve advocacy in support of behavior analysis and behavior analysts. This award is not necessarily given annually. Recipients not required to be behavior analysts. Recipients need not reside in Texas at the time the award is given.

Career Contributions to Behavior Analysis in Texas
Awarded to persons who have been engaged in behavior analysis in Texas and made notable contributions to the profession for numerous years, typically at least 20 years. The contributions might involve a variety of types of activities including: university instruction, clinical services (i.e., can include persons that predominately work as practitioners), research, activities for behavior analysis organizations. This award is not necessarily given annually. Recipients need not reside in Texas at the time the award is given. They should be in good standing in the profession when the award is presented (or, if the award be presented posthumously, were at the time of death).

Enduring Career Contributions to Behavior Analysis
Awarded to persons who over their career in behavior analysis have made major contributions to the profession recognized nationally and possibly internationally. This award typically is presented to deserving persons who are making presentations at the annual TxABA conference that are not otherwise directly connected to Texas or TxABA. It is not necessarily given annually. Recipients need not reside in Texas at the time the award is given. They should be in good standing in the profession when the award is presented (or, if the award be presented posthumously, were at the time of death).

Distinguished Services to the Texas Association for Behavior Analysis
To be presented to persons who have made important contributions to the survival or functioning of the Texas Association for Behavior Analysis over a number of years. The recipient typically will be persons involved in organizational and administrative activities for the organization (e.g., plan and managing annual conference, managing finances of the organization), doing so in an honest, effective, inclusive, and equitable manner, representing the organization in a positive way in dealing with members and the public in general. Recipients need not reside in Texas at the time the award is given. They should be in good standing in the profession when the award is presented (or, if the award be presented posthumously, were at the time of death).

EDIE Committee
Purpose
The purpose of the EDIE committee is to support the TxABA organization to perform their duties in a manner that promotes diversity, inclusion, and equity as it pertains to the TxABA Executive Council, organization members, constituents, and any party or person who interacts with the organization.

Executive Leadership Committee
Purpose
The purpose of the ELC is to:
- Authorize the TxABA officers to act for the Executive Council (EC) between regular meetings and in situations where an assembly of a quorum of the EC would be impractical or impossible.
- Handle issues of lower priority that should not justify the meeting of the full EC.
- Serve as an advisor to the Executive Director, providing consultation, support, and guidance on an informal basis as requested by the Executive Director.

Grants and Funding Committee
Purpose
The purpose of the Grants and Funding Committee is to enact funding activities in accordance with the TxABA Strategic Plan. This committee will focus on providing grants and other financial supports for active TxABA constituents who are early in their careers and are engaged in research and/or practice activities. To achieve its goals, this committee works in close collaboration with other TxABA committees and the TxABA Executive Council.

Purpose
The purpose of the PIDC is to identify issues occurring within the field of behavior analysis and provide resources to the field.

Program Committee
Purpose
The purpose of the Program Committee is to develop and organize (on its own or via sub-committees) the programs and services offered by the organization for each fiscal year. The Program Committee will submit their annual plan of services to the Executive Council for review and approval by June 30 each year.

Promoting Engagement Committee
Purpose
The purpose of the Promoting Engagement Committee is to promote and disseminate interactive programs, services, and information. Service offerings shall promote the science and application of behavior analysis to the behavior analytic community and the public in Texas.

Special Interest Group Committee
Purpose
The purpose of the SIG Committee is to serve as a point of communication and collaboration between TxABA and TxABA SIGs.

Student Committee
Purpose
The purpose of the Student Committee to promote engagement, diversify opportunities, and provide resources among TxABA student members. Additionally, the Student Committee shall work with the Student Representative to ensure the perspective of students across the entirety of the state are represented on the council so as to further the growth of the next generation of behavior analysts.

Promoting ABA Ad Hoc Committee
Purpose
The Promoting ABA Ad hoc Committee is an ad hoc committee of the Texas Association for Behavior Analysis (TxABA) approved on June 30, 2021. As an ad hoc committee, this committee will stand for one year (until June 30, 2022) unless its duration is extended by majority vote of the TxABA executive council. This committee’s purpose is to review, analyze, develop, organize, and promote accurate representations of and information about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to the public.
